Bob Croslin Exhibit opening wrap up!

No comments:
First, if you were unable to miss this wonderful event, you really missed out on a great many things.

As you drove up into the Charleston Center for Photography, parking was not an issue as it normally is downtown. The Center has parking in the front, the back and the side, easily housing everyone's cars.

To the left of our building, Home Team BBQ had set up their concession stand with mouth watering food. I (Belverly) did not even like BBQ before last night! The meat was cooked wonderfully and their tea was delicious.

Once inside, you'd immediately hear our music pumping from the black studio. Dj Natty Heavy was set up in there and definitely added to the atmosphere. Bob Croslin's exhibit was something new to me, as I rarely look at hiphop style portraits, but it was interesting and thought provoking. The Center allowed bidding wars for the prints to go on and will be continuing until the end of the month. Please call 843-720-3105 for more information.

Half way through the opening, KunFewZion graced us with a mind-blowing preformance. They're a medium size group that packs a giant punch and everyone that had mingled around the Center were now glued in place in the black studio. People in the back crained their necks in attempts to get a full view of KunFewZion and luckily, KunFewZion agreed to do a second preformance.

Off in the white studio, Amelia and Dan Hale were taking shots of people posing in all sorts of ways. The sitting fee was waived but anyone who wishes to have a copy, please contact us to order one. Ironically though, the white studio was just as packed at the black studio! A great thanks is extended to the two instructors also for taking candid shots of the opening!

This is Belverly Cutchins take on the opening. If you'd like to submit anything, please email her at Belverly@ccforp.org. We'd LOVE to hear your suggestions, comments and ideas! Stacy Pearsall, myself, and everyone at the Center would like to extend a thank-you for all those who came and enjoy the night with us. Please, check out us and those who preformed at Bob Croslin's opening. Check back later for more images!

Don't forget that Croslin is also doing a free Second Monday Night Lecture this Monday, August 10th. He is also doing a three-day workshop!

Kyle Collins in Alice Keeney's Street Photography Workshop

No comments:

Kyle W. Collins shares his experience about Alice Keeney's Street Photography Workshop:

"I participated in the Street Photography seminar that Alice held on 7/25 and wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Alice is extremely approachable and was able to work effectively with all of the attendees, regardless of skill level. The structure of the photo shoot was also really unique and I enjoyed the approach Alice took of giving each of us individual assignments as we applied what we had learned earlier in the day.

Working with Alice was a really great experience. I hope to continue to utilize the center to further my interest and skill in photography and look forward to the next time I can attend a workshop or class."

Thank you so much for your input and we're glad to hear you enjoyed our 1-Workshop.
